Having Fun with Maker Education

I am a maker myself, I do not only design maker activities for young chidlren, but also enjoy to create things myself. In this page, you can see things that I have created or implemented into research

WORK 01

Paper circuits represent a captivating gateway for young children into the world of STEM, combining the simplicity of paper crafts with the foundational concepts of electrical circuits. This hands-on activity not only engages children’s creativity and fine motor skills but also introduces them to basic electronics in a tangible and accessible way. By creating circuits on paper using conductive materials, such as copper tape, LEDs, and coin cell batteries, children can see firsthand how electricity flows and lights up their creations.

WORK 02

Digital Fabric

Similar to the hands-on learning approach offered by paper circuits, digital fabric introduces children to the intriguing intersection of textiles and technology. This innovative medium blends traditional crafting techniques with electronic components, allowing young learners to explore the fundamentals of circuits and computing in a soft, tactile format.

This is one of my project “lighting up the tomatoes”

WORK 03

Laser Cutting

In 2018, I started a laser-cutting project for my friends. And made a baby Crib Mobile Bed Bell for them. You can see their names on it!

WORK 04

Makey Makey

Makey Makey is an input device that allows users to invent projects using water and other conductive objects

I have used a pencil to draw a path as input for a mixed-reality game, then connected it to Makey Makey. Thus, when I move my figure on the drawing, the bees in the simulation would move.
